THE NATION’S ONLY SUMMIT DEDICATED TO FOSTERING INNOVATION IN POLICY AND TECHNOLOGY FOR PREPAREDNESS AND RESILIENCE

NAPSG Foundation’s annual flagship event – the Innovation Summit for Preparedness & Resilience (InSPIRE) – will bring together public safety leaders, first responders, GIS professionals, and technologists from across the nation for two days of technical training, applying technology to operational requirements, and collaborating among colleagues. InSPIRE 2022 provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for you to share your experiences from recent incidents and to brainstorm innovative solutions to real challenges facing public safety agencies nationwide.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

We encourage small teams of 2-3 participants from each agency or jurisdiction. Ideally, each agency or jurisdiction team would consist of individuals representing the following roles:

  • Discover how your community can leverage and contribute to a national baseline structure dataset to support risk assessments and post-incident impact analysis.
  • Learn about the technical approaches to sharing maps, apps, and data securely with those who need it most during an incident.
    Rapid-fire introduction and overview of key data products that can be utilized during disasters.
  • Take a deep dive into cartographic concepts and learn how map design, data, symbology, and statistics can influence how people interact with and make sense of map information.
  • Redesigning our approach to communicating risk and emergency actions to improve public understanding and survivor outcomes.
